I almost think I would've liked this better if Lydia's character hadn't had such a strong presence in LBD (as well as her companion vlogs), and we knew less about her. She makes some of the same mistakes, and a similar mistake to the one she made in the LBD web series that readers can see coming from a mile away. Even LYDIA can see it coming. There wasn't really anything we hadn't seen before. While people making the same mistakes is very common, it makes us impatient when we observe it, and I was impatient as a reader. Also, Cody was a much more obvious manipulator; the whole point of George is that he tricked everybody. He had false empathy and a sob story right at hand whenever he needed to use them. In fact, the reason viewers knew George was up to no good initially was because they were familiar with P&P. The reason we know Cody's up to no good is that we've seen his character in so many books and movies before.

There are some positive aspects. The novel does an excellent job of demonstrating how people mean well when trying to help someone who's going through a hard time, but end up doing more harm than good. And Lydia was written as still being the LBD Lydia, and yet also a damaged young lady.

Loved getting to see that Lydia was able to do better and be happier after what she went through with Wickham. I also really liked her career choice though I'm a little biased about it. I think it was very well written and it was a fun read.
A fun conclusion to Lydia's story.
If you're a LBD fan or even if you want a good read, it's the book for you, unlike Lizzie's book which is a diary of the behind the scenes of the series, this is Lydia's journey as she figures out herself, and what she wants to do with her life!
OMG the adorbs continues!! This book was an incredible continuation of Lydia's story, and I only cried like 5 times reading it. If you loved the Lizzie Bennet Diaries, I recommend this times a billion. Short review, but otherwise this might become an essay. Read it <3
I loved the Lizzie Bennet Diaries and the The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet A Novel (Lizzie Bennet Diaries), so I was looking forward to this book. I was not disappointed. Although Lydia's spunk and rebellion are plain, she also gets a chance for redemption in this well-thought out sequel.
Everything I'd hoped it would be. It isn't simply a moment of Lydia getting her life together after the events of LBD. It's a story of a very realistic young woman trying to put her life back together. She doesn't come storming back in to our lives with her head held high. She's genuinely fighting to get back on track. Some days are better than others. And it's beautiful.

Lydia's voice is all over this and I'm swooning as I feel reunited with a character who we were meant to hate and fell in love with anyway. I loved getting more from Mary, as well as visits from Lizzie and Jane. But my heart belongs to Lydia Brittany Bennet and this book reminded me why.
When I started reading The Epic Adventures of Lydia Bennet, the thought that I might like it more than The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet hadn't even crossed my mind. But I did. Lydia is trying to pick up the pieces of her life after what happened with Wickham and though it's certainly not easy, she does eventually find her way. There isn't much Lizzie/Darcy or Jane/Bing but that's okay. They (more or less) got their happy endings at the end of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries so it's only fair that Lydia has a chance at a happy ending too. The fact that I loved this book as much as I did is a surprise considering I have never cared much for the character of Lydia Bennet. Definitely recommend this!
