If you have read Theresa Hissong’s series Talon Pack you have met Drake Morgan. He is a grouchy bear shifter that sticks to his land, loves his brothers which are his Clan, and hates humans.

I do love a broody, bearded man and that is exactly what Drake is. Yes his bear is after him to find a mate, however he does not agree that it has to be this little human. Humans are bad and nothing you can say will change his mind.
Lol, the bigger and broodier they are the harder they fall. Drake’s bear knows what he wants and he wants the lovely Tessa.
Tessa has been through some crap man, you would think that a man like Drake would scare her but instead there is something that calls her to him. Even though Tessa has had it rough doesn’t mean she is a push over though, she stand up for herself when she needs too.
Drake are her really are meant to be,that Drake is a dominant in the bedroom and found Tessa to be submissive is HOT! I love how everyone sees how Tessa has a calming affect on the grouchy bear that he doesn’t. However, when Tessa is threatened he is no where near calm!!! She is also calmed by him. Soul Mates!!!!
The way the bears are with their women is awesome and I can’t wait to see Drakes brothers find their mates.

I can Not express how much I enjoyed reading this book. Totally fell in love with with the Morgan men. Drake and Tessa's story will just have you sighing out loud when the big grumpy bear finds his forever mate! I am so excited that the Morgan's get to have their stories told and am waiting as patiently as I can for the next book in the series.
OMG!!!!! Drake and Tessa......what a pair! Theresa has has given us another winner! I read this story and realized something.......Theresa made me fall in love with bears now!!!!!!! Tessa is my new best friend, along with Drake! Well done, T, well done!!!!!!!! Ready for next installment of bears!!!!!!!!!❤️💖💞
I loved this! Drake and Tessa are the perfect couple. He needs to learn not all humans are bad and she needs to know that not all men are nasty pieces of work like her stalking ex-husband. Throw in 2 bear brothers, the neighboring pride, an angel and the earth mother and you have a story worth taking the time to read. I am looking forward to the next installment!
This book had a good story line that kept my interest. I was also surprised by a twist which was a Dom/sub relationship between the main characters. I've never seen that in a shifter romance before. The only thing I didn't like was the heroine changing into a bear near the end. I like the male shifter/human female dynamic (or vice versa), so I'm not a fan of the human changing into whatever the particular shifter's beast is in order for them to have a HEA. Which means although this was a good story, I won't be buying anymore books from this author.
Loved these characters from her prior books and was really looking forward to reading this book.
My biggest problem with this is that it didn’t seem like a final version and instead a unedited draft in many spots. For example, at one part Drake tells Tessa that she can’t work at the diner, that she will work for him and she doesn’t object but the next day he is taking her to work at the diner. There were more then a few of these glitches and it was frustrating.
Drake and Tessa had a lot of potential but in many ways weren’t flushed out and it made relating to them hard in many parts.
I usually really like her books and I still enjoy her writing but this just feel short and I’m a little bummed at having paid what I did for it.
I fell in love with Rise of the Pride Series and was SO excited to know that Theresa was coming out with another paranormal series and once again, she did not disappoint my excitement! Drake Morgan is a hard working man but he's grumpy, unsociable, dislikes humans and keeps to himself and his 2 brothers maintaining his land and crops. The last thing Drake ever expected or wanted was to find out his mate is a human but Tessa is exactly what he needs and becomes his entire life. Tessa is hardworking, independent, sweet, sociable, feisty and only keeps to herself because she's running from her ex but once Drake touches her, he knows she's his life mate and nothing or no one will keep him from what's his, not even himself and definitely not Tessa's ex. I LOVED everything about this storyline. I also loved that some of the members of the Shaw Pride made an appearance. I highly recommend this book and I can't wait for the next one in this series!!
I have been impatiently waiting for this book. It didn’t disappoint. This is a spin off series of the Rise of Pride Series. Drake Morgan and his brothers get their home and land ready for a mating season every spring. He doesn’t think this season will be any different from the previous seasons until one little female comes onto their land to deliver a part. Tessa is working two jobs and trying to stay under the radar. She has come to their little town to try and hide from her abusive ex. This book was fantastic. I love Theresa’s books so much. I was so happy to get to read about the bears I have gotten peaks at in some of Theresa’s other books. Drake is amazing. He is a grumpy ass with just about everyone but once he realizes Tessa is his mate. He is different with her. He just wants to pamper her and take care of her. Tessa is amazing too. She has survived so much at the hands of her ex. She didn’t lay down and take it though. She filed for divorce and left. I can’t say enough about this book. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Fantastic book Theresa.
